If Panic! At The Disco need ANY introduction then I will be surprised. The Las Vegas now-quartet are set to release a digital only single from their debut album ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’.
The track… ‘Build God, Then We’ll Talk’ is the fifth (and hopefully likely final) single to be taken from the album and… well. What can you say about Panic! At The Disco which hasn’t been said already? It’s charmingly pop, ridiculously addictive and all round toe tap-worthy.
Frankly, I’m amazed that anyone would want to buy this. Not because it’s bad, in fact, it’s quite the opposite, but mainly because given the ridiculous hype following P!ATD last year, I’d be surprised if there is anyone in the Western World who doesn’t own a copy of the album anyway.
Indeed, they won a ‘Moon Man Award’ (whatever that is) at the 2006 MTV VMA awards and even played four sold out nights at the Brixton Academy in London. That’s 5,500 people a night. A record for the venue!
This digital release came about when the band decided on the treatment for the song as more of a side project, so becoming a low level release for the fans whilst the boys are off to the studio to pen their second album. It’s going to be an interesting one!
