Cute Is What We Aim For digitally release ‘Newport Living’ on February 6th 2007 and with the new chart rules in the UK, who knows what could happen?
The bands debut album ‘The Same Old Blood With A New Touch’, officially out sold Panic! At The Disco’s debut effort, and is officially the fastest selling release in the 10-year history of the Fuelled By Ramen record label, which incidentally is also home to such heavyweights as Fall Out Boy and The Academy Is.
Newport Living is a perfect example of the bands power-pop talents. Reminiscent of Panic! At The Disco, Cute Is What We Aim For have become masters of the ridiculously addictive riff and sing-along-tastic vocal harmonies. Modern pop, has never sounded so good. Fuelled By Ramen have a habit of picking up bands like this… I was never overly convinced by Panic! Or in fact by Fall Out Boy; but Cute Is What We Aim For can come out with songs like this over and over again if they like… I certainly won’t mind.
’Newport Living’ (released February 5th on digital format only) is taken from ‘The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch’ which is available in stores now. The band begin a nationwide UK tour on January the23rd. Tickets available from seetickets.com
