It\u2019s quite a profound statement to make. It\u2019s fair enough, I suppose, emo and indie are merging into one vile girl-pant wearing genre of drivel. But that\u2019s not to say that the Zico boys are doing anything too spectacularly enthralling either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018<strong>Where Would You Rather Be<\/strong>\u2019 is a loud, screaming ode to five years ago. Had Zico Chain existed in the nu-metal era circa 2000, this track would have gained a lot of fans very quickly. The track is reminiscent of Disturbed and even Marilyn Manson. Its brooding hooks are laden down with gritty vocals which, although complimentary don\u2019t seem to be able to make their mind up. American? English? Kurt Cobain anyone?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But then again\u2026 I\u2019m cynical. Despite this track being a little bit of a mish-mash in my mind, it\u2019s British. It\u2019s heavy, it\u2019s rocking, and it\u2019s British, and that\u2019s got to count for something. The Zico lads don\u2019t claim to be re-inventing the wheel, but at the same time they are giving an old one a pretty damn good spin. What they lack in identity, they make up in all out balls rock; and there\u2019s a million and one reasons why that\u2019s a good thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Catch Zico Chain out on a ridiculously large UK tour throughout May&nbsp;<strong>AND<\/strong>&nbsp;opening the main stage at Download Festival!.
