Tonight was going to be a special gig, I could feel it in my bones and thanks to excellent performances from all the bands It was definitely one to remember.
Openers tonight The Reunion Show provoked a great reaction from the crowd with their mish mash pop punk melodies. Sounding like a cross between Alkaline Trio and Sugarcult these guys have something unique to bring to the already saturated pop punk scene. TRS put on an all round good set and kept the crowd interested. Be sure to check these guys out!
From Autumn To Ashes didn’t seem to quite fit the bill tonight. Their emotional hardcore sound, although performed brilliantly didn’t ignite the crowd. They weren’t there to listen to hardcore and thus didn’t react to it. Even so FATA didn’t disappoint. The only drawback being that unfortunately the majority of the crowd just didn’t want to play ball. A good performance but not the right kind of show!
As expected tonight TSL were here to blow us all away. It had only been two months since TSL had played the bigger Astoria Theatre upstairs and this intimate show really allowed the guys to let their hair down and celebrate all that is The Starting Line. A stunning set from the Pennsylvanian pop punk rockers showed London that they are here to stay. TSL are once and for all getting the recognition that they deserve and its well earned! Opening with Up and Go and playing hits such as Gregs last day, Leaving and best of me. They even threw in a new acoustic song called The Night Life. Their set rocked from start to finish and they even let the crowd decide their closing song which went down a storm, between the choices of Threes a Charm and Cheek to Cheek, the crowd chose Cheek to Cheek. A good choice!
So all in all a great show. All bands played great and even the crowd behaved for once. All that’s left to be said is come back soon TSL, London loves you!
